IMU CET is conducted by Indian Maritime University for admission to various Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programs offered by IMU and its affiliated Institutes. Indian Maritime University (IMU) directs the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate courses of study. Common Entrance Test (CET) is common to all UG programs of study.


Program (Residential) IMU Campus Eligibility Age Limit
3 Year B.Sc (Nautical Science) Chennai, NaviMumbai, Cochin 10+2 or equivalent (PCM60% average and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination.)
Note: In the case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks.
Relaxation of 5% in English marks will be applicable to candidates who are native of the Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar islands and belongs to their Scheduled Tribes and who and both of whose parents were born in those islands and belong to the Scheduled Tribes of those islands.

1-Year DNS program (2 batches – Aug And Feb every year) Navi Mumbai and Chennai 10+2 or equivalent (PCM60% average)
OR
B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or B.Sc Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years with an average not less than 55% of marks in the final year,
OR
B.E./B. Tech from IIT or college recognized by AICTE with an average of not less than 50% of aggregate in the final year.
Note: English Marks is to be 50% or more in the 10th or 12th or Degree examination. In the case of SC/ST candidates, there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks. Relaxation of 5% in English marks will be applicable to candidates who are native of the Lakshadweep and Andaman And Nicobar islands and belongs to their Scheduled Tribes and who and both of whose parents were born in those islands And belong to the Scheduled Tribes of those islands

4-year B. Tech (Marine Engineering) Kolkata, Mumbai Port and Chennai 10+2 or equivalent (PCM60% average and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination.)
Note: In the case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks.

4 Year B. Tech (Naval Architecture And Ocean Engineering) Visakhapatnam 10+2 or equivalent (PCM - 60% average and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination.)

3 Year B.Sc (Ship Building and Repair) Offered only in one Affiliated Institute 10+2 or equivalent (PCM - 60% average and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination.)
Note: In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks

BBA (Logistics, Retailing, and eCommerce) Chennai and Kochi 10+2 or equivalent (Minimum 60% of Aggregate marks in any stream and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th and/or 12th Examination.)
Note1: Percentage of the aggregate marks will be calculated by considering the marks scored in English subject plus the marks scored in Major Subjects (excluding other languages).
Note 2: In the case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks.
